This project grew from collective advocacy that expanded across communities, institutions and sectors in Peel. In 2021, leaders from community organizations in Peel came together with researchers and data scientists from the Institute for Better Health, including researchers from the Family and Child Health Initiative (FCHI) the recognizing that collective action was needed to create system level change. This project has allowed us to begin to collectively explore how integrated data that captures the social determinants of health (SDOH) could be used to create action.
